NOTE:This only increases your speed if you both have it.
Will not effect other sends.  More Ram = More Speed also.

run/ regedit/ enter
click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
click System
click CurrentControlSet
click Services
click VxD
hilite MSTCP right click/new key/ name it DefaultRcvWindow
after it creates the key
hilite it and right click / new/ string value
after it creates the string
hilite both defaults (one at a time) andb 
and modify to 12288
done      save and reboot the PC
Before Reconnecting go to console/modem/properties/connection/port settings and check your fifos and max em out
And make sure you set it to connect at the max speed.
Once online enter mIRC or pirch
In mIRC type:
/pdcc 9999999999
and when you go to send something click in fast send
packet size 4096
In pirch just set packet size to 8192.
